Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and maintain purchasing parameters, supplier information, and supply-and-demand balances, and generate and manage purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted production using the company ERP system.
- Research the market to identify and develop a robust supply base
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers with an emphasis on cost, quality, and on- time delivery
- Coordinate order volumes and material deliveries to obtain optimal pricing
- Develop strong business relationships with key suppliers by regularly sharing feedback on supply and quality performance and maintaining regular channels of communication
- Ensure that appropriate action is taken in response to component shortages to prevent interruption of product supply
