Scope:

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for managing the daily workload of client orders while ensuring full compliance with all Route Guide requirements. This role communicates regularly with client Customer Service Representative (CSR) teams regarding designated routing and works closely with the assigned carrier base to coordinate outbound shipment scheduling. The Logistics Clerk collaborates with supervisors, the shipping team, the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and internal stakeholders to support timely order processing and accurate outbound shipments, and also coordinates inbound product scheduling with local leadership, the purchasing team, brokers, carriers, and vendors to ensure efficient inventory flow and operational continuity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage order routing in accordance with default routing instructions and vendor Route Guides for Catalog and New Release orders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for designated western and locally based vendors and terminal locations
  • Communicate with vendors and client CSR teams (written and verbal) to confirm routing and shipment requirements
  • Maintain LTL and TL pickup security logs and provide accurate documentation to the Shipping Team to ensure correct carrier utilization
  • Ensure adherence to MABD delivery requirements through timely order allocation
  • Coordinate and manage New Release order allocations in alignment with pre-approved schedules
  • Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and vendor routing portals to ensure timely pickup and delivery execution
  • Generate customer-specific documentation required for outbound shipments
  • Provide audit support for inbound and outbound freight activity
  • Assist with internal month-end reporting related to logistics and transportation activity
  • Manage routing and coordination of inbound shipments
  • Maintain flexibility to support other departments as operational needs require

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight routing, logistics, or transportation coordination preferred
  • Prior brokerage or LTL experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of freight terminology, routing processes, and transportation workflows
  • Experience working with WMS and TMS platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
